How Lumos ASO keyword metrics work
Lumos ASO is a research aid. It analyzes up to 50 U.S. software results returned by Apple’s public iTunes Search API and uses public fields such as app names, descriptions, average ratings, and rating counts.
What the scores mean
Popularity is a relative estimate based on how often the searched words appear in descriptions across the returned app set. Competition combines title saturation with a rating-pressure signal. The Opportunity Score blends relative popularity, inverse competition, and modest rating signals.
These are not official Apple search-volume or ranking measurements, and they do not predict ranking, downloads, revenue, or conversion. Use them as context alongside product relevance and user evidence.
